Harford County government, in partnership with Maryland Environmental Service, has awarded its 2018 Business Recycling and Waste Reduction Awards to Independent Brewing Company of Bel Air and Chesapeak Shredding of Forest Hill. Chesapeak Shreddding recycled more than 600 tons of paper in 2018.

Mobile shredding services are a convenient and unique way to increase recycling and reduce waste. Chesapeak Shredding is a local, family-owned company that has been in business for six years. In 2018, the company recycled more than 600 tons of paper.
Harford County supports recycling and waste reduction to reduce individual impacts on our environment through the conservation of resources. Recycling services are available curbside through private haulers or at the Harford Waste Disposal Center in Street. Waste reduction strategies include buying in bulk, reducing packaging, and providing materials that are reusable rather than disposable.
